How GCVibe Calculates Gift Card Values in Naira
Every useful estimate starts with an identifiable quote. This page explains how to interpret GCVibe’s tools and what evidence a market rate needs before publication.
Current data status
As of 5 September 2026, we do not have a verified, dated market quote feed for this website. The previously displayed fixed figures had no sufficient source timestamp and are no longer used as current rates. The calculator now works from a rate you enter yourself. It checks arithmetic; it does not verify the person supplying the quote.
The record behind a rate
A publishable quote must identify the brand and product, issuing country, currency, physical card or e-code format, exact denomination or explicit eligible range, source, observed time, validity conditions and fees. “Apple USD” alone does not describe a complete route.

How the calculator works
For a per-unit quote, estimated NGN value = face value × quoted NGN per currency unit − stated fee. The calculator labels the result as user-supplied and retains the selected route in its summary. It does not guess a rate when the rate field is empty.
For example only: a USD 100 card × ₦1,000 per USD − ₦500 gives ₦99,500. A quote for a total payout should not be multiplied again. If fees are already included, enter zero additional fee.
Dates and stale information
Quote times on this site use Africa/Lagos, West Africa Time (WAT, UTC+1). An editorial review date is separate from a quote observation date. Reloading a page does not renew a quote. If a source date is unavailable, the status must say so; if a quote has expired, obtain a new one before relying on it.
A reusable quote record
Download the blank quote-comparison CSV to record matching routes, fees, WAT observation times and validity terms. It contains no market prices. Keep it on your own device and never add a redemption code, PIN, bank credential or identity document.
What an estimate cannot establish
A calculation does not prove that a card is activated, unused, valid in a particular country, accepted by a buyer, or eligible for a refund. It also cannot establish a provider’s reliability or promise a settlement time. Issuer restrictions and the buyer’s written terms must be checked separately.
Corrections and future data
Future verified quotes should keep the source record and applicable card conditions together. GCVibe will distinguish issuer documentation from third-party market observations and label any calculated example. We do not infer transaction volume, market share or payment speed from a rate table.
